Privacy Policy

We collect as little data as possible. This page explains what, why, and your rights under the GDPR.

Without an account: data on your device

If you don't sign up, your profile (name, city, Instagram, interests), favourite outings, “I'm going” / “Maybe” and saved searches stay only in your browser (localStorage). We don't receive them. Delete them anytime from Profile → “Delete profile”.

With an account (sign-in with Google or Facebook)

From the provider we receive only an identifier, your name and your email. We never get passwords, friends or posts. We store your profile (name, username, city, bio, Instagram, interests, photo if you upload one), your “I'm going” / “Maybe”, favourites and privacy settings. The legal basis is contract (providing the account you asked for). Your public profile is visible only while you keep it on, and your outings only if you allow your name in “Who's going”. Public profile pages are kept out of search engines.

Deleting your account

Profile → “Delete account”. Deletion is immediate and final: your profile, photo, plans, favourites and all sessions are erased. Database backups are kept for up to 14 days and then deleted automatically.

If you subscribe, we keep your email to send the weekly newsletter. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw with one click in any email.

Organizer claims and error reports

When you claim an organizer page we keep your name and email to verify you. Error reports contain no personal data.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

Only if you click “Accept” on the cookie notice do we use Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymization, to measure which pages are used. See the Cookie Policy.

Third-party services

Sign-in: Google or Facebook, only if you choose to sign in with them. Maps: OpenFreeMap, OpenTopoMap and EOX (receive your IP address to serve map tiles). Weather: Open-Meteo (receives only the outing's coordinates). “Sign up” takes you to the organizer's website, which has its own privacy policy.

Retention

Your account until you delete it; newsletter email until you unsubscribe; organizer claims while the page exists; analytics for 14 months; backups for 14 days.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object. Email us at [EMAIL]. You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
